When and where is practice, and how do I reserve?
Outdoor practices are held at Martinez Jr High School (Martinez, CA) and Parkmead Elementary School (Walnut Creek, CA), depending on availability and skater numbers. Practice is by reservation and/or registration with Coach Chris. Indoor practices are held Tuesdays and Thursdays, 7:30 – 10:00 PM in Antioch for skaters approved by the Coach. Contact Coach Chris to confirm the current location and times.
What do I need to bring?
Helmet required. Bring your own skates (recreational or speed skates welcome). Pads and protective gear strongly recommended.
What ages can join?
All ages! Every program (Beginner, Intermediate, Advanced and Racing) is open to all ages.
How much does it cost?
Classes are $40 per skater for a 1-hour class. Classes require a minimum of 6 skaters. Final decision is up to the coach — please check with Coach Chris.
Which program is right for me?
Start with Beginner if you are new to skates, Intermediate if you are comfortable on wheels, Advanced to build speed-skating technique and fitness, or Racing to get ready for the racing season.
